Entry 115 - No Sick

Yay!! Finally at the tail end of my the resurrected cold I got a few weeks ago and the surf looked rideable and fun. So, I headed out. Yes, it was kinda swampy and inconsistent - the winter has done a number on the ocean bottom at Porto. Caught two semi-nice lefts amid the fun crowd. I think everyone is hoping that April isn't anything like March. We'll see. Just good to be back in the water finally. Seems like I've felt under the weather since Christmas!

Entry 114 - Laughable

No Pic Today

Got out there this morning and the tide paddled a lot. Not much to catch. A channel formed about 20 yds out and basically swamped everything that looked good. Everyone in the lineup was laughing about it. Every time something came in that looked good, it petered out to nothing and then walled up on the inside. Bleh, I'm sick of winter.

Entry 113 - Dawn Patrol 2014

Had to get out really early this morning because of other morning plans starting at 9 AM. Looked good from the parking lot but quickly went to soft, fat, and walled. Not much fun but the lineup was friendly and I got to see the sunrise on a beautiful Saturday morning. Makes it worth it. Caught one for the morning which was too fat to ride in.

Entry 112 - Soft and Textured

Got out after the few weeks of strong, shortboarder swells. Could have picked a better day though. Way too soft and textured going on bumpy. Good to get out though even if I couldn't catch much with the Stewart. A mid-morning surf session is always nice when I skip the morning session and don't have a meeting smack in the middle of the morning. Looks like the weekend is shaping up for some nice waves too.
