I always wish I had more time in Maui to surf. Just want to surf every day if it was possible. Fun session today even though it was bumpy and small.

Entry 334 - Pre-Maui Surf

Last session before we head to Maui for 2 weeks! Overcast and bumpy this morning but the water was really nice. Caught my fair share before heading into work for a short meeting and then home to pack. Looking forward to the warm waters of Hawaii.

Entry 333 - Always Better Yesterday... Sometimes

Yeah, not as good as Monday but still fun. Breeze was picking up by the time I got out and it was a little colder for trunks on the paddle out but once I got warmed up, it was nice to be in a rashguard and trunks. Nothing to awesome today except for a nice right that I was able to ride and and crouch down to see if I could get into the pocket. No luck but still fun.

Gave Jason a 10/10 for a nice dismount off his board when he just couldn't make the wave.

Entry 332 - Trunks All In

A beautiful Monday and a pumping, fun swell with peaks up and down the beach. There was a lot of water today but if you could paddle through it and get something, the shape was awesome - steep but not walled. No barrel for me but still a lot of fun trying!

Entry 326 - Day 4 (Board Meeting #2)

Another board meeting this morning but a tad earlier. I was running late so I had to meet Art, Doug, and Brian in the water. Same as yesterday in terms of swell. Once high tide made its way to the beach, the waves just disappeared and I almost had to do the paddle of shame. Luckily, I caught a straggler on the way in.

Note to self: The 26th St. shower sucks!

Dawn patrol board meeting this morning. Much bigger than yesterday and more fun. Paddle out was pretty easy and the lefts just kept coming. If you caught a good one you could ride it down the beach a few blocks! Fun at a board meeting with Doug. Gotta keep it up!

Entry 320 - Lunchtime Session (Trunk Time)

Got out for a lunch session today with some folks from work and had a great time. Guys at work I didn't even know surfed had a good time and we even got some newbies in the water. Sand was crazy hot! I think I slightly burned my feet. Got to do the lunchtime session more often now that summer is almost here!

Father's Day fun with the family. Got to go out with my wife and daughter to the beach early this morning and paddle out. It was a great gift. Saw old friends in the line up and enjoyed catching nice warm waves.

Got out this morning before my wife heads on a trip to central California for tonight. Wasn't expecting it to be this foggy! And, there's a competition going on. Saw the judges sitting almost where the waves were lapping the shore. Good session overall even if it was a little soft.

Thank God it's Friday! What a crazy week with real crappy swell. Today was fun though and got to go out with the crew. Some good sets in between lots of waiting. Most memorable wave was the one I missed because Doug got into my head!

Entry 313 - Memorial Day Surf

Yay! Made it out on Memorial Day and it was even more crowded than yesterday. Crazy people in the lineup not paying attention to who was going where. Almost got hit by a board once by someone who ditched going for a wave. New perspective on the GoPro - trying out the mouthguard mount. Gotta get used to it before Maui!
