Entry 260 - Lovin' Waikiki

Paddled out again this morning for another Queens Waikiki session. Beautiful again but a little smaller and harder to catch the good waves. I'm so used to Porto closeouts that I miss the easy, crumbly shoulder to head high sets here. Still I caught two nice ones to make it another wonderful morning in Waikiki!

Entry 259 - Waikiki Day 1

First surf session in Waikiki! Been here for 2 days but a pretty decent southern swell kept me from tempting fate - new break, even if it is Waikiki. Paddle out was long but pretty easy and not as far as I had expected. Caught both a left and a right and then 2 that brought me straight in. Long rides which I wasn't used to coming from Porto! Nice warm water too! I could definitely get used to the surf at Waikiki even if the place is a little like Vegas.
