Entry 236 - Washing Machine

Got the washing machine today. Probably because it was so weak and I was trying to get anything I could after the long Monday and Tuesday this week. Also, trying to get one last session in before the weekend and wedding in the family. Caught 2 okay rides and then the washing machine (shoulder high, walled up weak wave that I fell back on). Here's to my bro's wedding!!

Entry 235 - Stormy

Been stormy and bumpy all week long at Porto and with the extra low tide, I just couldn't get motivated. Tried to head out yesterday before work but the wind was making it cold too. I thought it was spring! Chose MB Pier today for a change figuring the shape would be a little better and I got lucky. Parking lot was closed though for the annual pier-to-pier walk. Caught 2 nice waves and the rest were just too bumpy and weak. As usual, nice to get in the water!

Entry 234 - What A Difference A Day Makes

Yep, yesterday was fun and today was closeouts for dawn patrol! Got on the egg and paddled around catching only two small ones. Everyday can't be a great day. Especially at Porto!

Entry 233 - Friday!!!

TGIF! Long week at work and it paid off with a nice session on Friday. Sure, I stopped at the parking lot on Thursday but it just didn't look right and I knew that I had to get my work done. I was rewarded with a fun session today and a relaxing Friday!

Entry 232 - Pulse of Cold

Good shape, fun, and consistent today with a little texture... but the water was COLD (relative to the past few months. Must have been 60 deg in the water today. Good to start out a stressful week with a nice session. According to the report Thursday through Sunday should be good as well. Let's hope the report is accurate 'cause I know I'll need it.

Entry 231 - Long Saturday Session

House problems ruined my evening last night and my stoke from the day before. A long session was calling my name so I got out at 6:30 and stayed out there 'til 8:30. Saw familiar friends and caught a bunch of good clear rides. It's good to surf, feel the stoke, and have the ocean help cleanse away bad vibes.

Entry 230 - Addiction

You know you're addicted when all I can think about during the week some times is how I wish the surf was better and I was in the water. Had to wait until Friday to get out there and the day before someone called an 8:30 telecon. "Damnit!", I said to myself. Called in from the parking lot at Porto and then drove to work cause it just didn't look that great. After kickin' myself for 2 hours, I called in a lunch session and headed for the surf. Well worth it. Caught my fair share of lefts and rights under the nice warm spring sun.
