Entry 298 - February Doldrums

Another lunchtime session and I'm posting this about 2 weeks after I went out. But, this time, I took the GoPro and have a little footage of the session. Looked like a lot of fun. Small stuff that seemed to turn bumpy about halfway through my session. Helped me relax, I bet!

Entry 297 - Don't Remember

So, I'm posting this a month after I actually went out and I can't really remember the day. But, given that it was a workday and the sun in high in the sky, I'm guess I left work for a quick lunch session. Imagine it was an okay session too. Probably a little flat. Must have made me happy to get out at lunch!

Entry 296 - Certain Days

There are certain days I just want to say "fuck it", dump all of my responsibilities and just surf until my arms fall off. This is one of those days. If only the surf would have cooperated. I feel like I'm coming down with another cold or sinus infection again too. WTF. At least the weather was nice and warm.

Paddled out caught a nice left and a nice right and then had to head back into work. The grind is getting to me.

Entry 295 - Still Cold

I guess once a week isn 't too bad for winter sessions although I'd like it to be more like 3-4 times a week. But, it's not summertime and it's hard to get motivated to jump into cold water and feel a cold breeze after a session. Only a so, so session today. Caught a handful of fun ones and then had to head into the office. The king tides have really dug up a channel at Porto making it a little swampy to surf at and the backwash got pretty crazy as the tide went down. The pic above shows the outgoing tide meeting the incoming waves.. the splash is at least 10-15ft high.
