Entry 111 - Dodging Traffic

Hoping for a good session this morning but the low tide and crowd kinda bummed it out. Breaks were fast and it seemed like them groms were everywhere picking anything off that was rideable. The low tide also made for lots of closeouts and walls. Caught one nice left and another okay right but not much else. Friends in the lineup made everything fun though - as is always the case.

Entry 110 - Lunchtime Session

Beautiful day to be out today. Checked the surf at Porto at 8 AM but it all looked closed out at the low tide so I decided to come back for a lunchtime session. Glad I did. No rash guard today, just booties. A little bumpy to choppy but still fun. Feels like its getting to be summer. Caught one nice right that could have turned into something and a left that stopped really fast like I hit something - hoping it wasn't the shark. ;)

Entry 109 - Close To Beach!

Forecast called for very small surf and mushy but I went out anyway. Yes, it was mushy but, no, it wasn't small. It was workable and fun. Crowded with good friends in the lineup. Caught my fair share of good stuff and shared a couple of waves intentionally and unintentionally along the way. One wave I caught I took off left and was surprised to find myself almost on top of the beach. Fun waves and good mid-February session.

Entry 108 - Lot Full

There's a first time for everything and today was one of them. Porto parking lot at 7 AM was packed. Had to park in the lot up the hill and jog down. Surf was all mixed up on the inside and kinda mushy. Crazy crowded and not a lot to work with out there for me at least. Surf was weak at times with the occasional wall and closeout. The water even seemed to get colder as the session went on. Some guys got some good rides but I caught my one and called it a morning. When does summer start?!

Entry 107 - Finally, Back In

Finally back in the water after almost a month of BIG swell and travel. Glad to be back in. Was on the mushy side today but still fun. Went out with the Stewart which definitely helped. The Brog would have been too short. Caught a couple of good ones and wished I could have stayed out longer but a good session.
